Lauren is passionate about understanding human behaviour and what makes people tick - especially in the context of working at ThinkPlace and shifting the needle on the Sustainable Development Goals.
Lauren applies this passion to projects that have real social impact. For example, Lauren has worked with the Department of Defence to design a monitoring and evaluation plan for mental health programs. Lauren contributed to building the digital leadership capabilities of the leaders in the APS by supporting the curriculum review of the Leading Digital Transformation program. She has also worked with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority to understand drone users and encourage compliance using behavioural economic principles. Lauren has a personal interest in sustainability, particularly around the management of material waste, energy policy and global development patterns.
Lauren completed a double degree at the ANU in Economics and Arts. Her enthusiasm for behavioural economics, sparked by an inspiring high school teacher, led her to major in Psychology as part of her tertiary studies. Beyond university, Lauren has built up relevant experience in design thinking, user testing and facilitation through previous organisations, including SAP in Canberra.
