Wai is a creative thinker with a genuine drive to make things better. She addresses complex problems with sustainable solutions by combining creativity with research and systematic thinking. She has an innate willingness to listen to people and engage with systems, and builds on this to design for person-centred experiences.
Wai draws from her experience in design thinking and user experience design to capture real insights about people, to gain a comprehensive understanding of behaviours, relationships and systems. She understands the significance and necessity for empathy and collaboration in a co-design process to create bridges between individuals and organisations. She has worked on projects to discover insights about users through interviews and testing, to design for a more user-friendly digital employee engagement platform.
With strong visual and communication design skills across print and digital, Wai thoughtfully translates complex ideas into visually captivating and easily comprehendible forms.
Wai has a Bachelors in International Studies and a Masters in Design and combines her knowledge of both areas to explore design thinking as a method of implementing change towards a more sustainable future. She has worked on local and international projects promoting environmental awareness and encouraging more sustainable behaviours
